Barstow Memorial School in Chittenden, Vermont was originally constructed in 1933. Serving grades K through 8, the school houses approximately 270 students. In 2002, NBF Architects designed a major renovation to add new classrooms, administrative facilities, and a gymnasium constructed within an existing interior courtyard.

The main entrance serves as a gallery emphasizing school pride. New display cabinets highlight the school’s many achievements and awards. The extensive use of natural wood and warm colors create a comfortable environment for occupants of the facility, including the school’s main office.
